UCI Road Cycling World Championship 2025
Conquering Rwanda’s Epic Thousand Hills Cycling Challenge
In 2025, the world’s attention turns to Rwanda for a landmark event: the first-ever Road World Championships held in Africa. Set against the stunning backdrop of Kigali, known as the ‘Land of a Thousand Hills’, this race promises to be one of the toughest in history. With a staggering 5,475 meters of elevation over 267.5 km, the elite cyclists will face a true endurance test. Kigali’s high altitude, sitting at 1,850 meters, adds another layer of challenge.
